    FAQ

When should a hot tub be serviced?

A simple bi-weekly cleaning of your hot tub is vital for its care and your health and comfort. Total draining and thorough cleaning should be done after every three or four-month period. However, if you’re always in use of the tub or have a lot of visitors in it, you may want to drain and clean it at shorter intervals.

Is it worth repairing a hot tub?

A good quality hot tub should last for up to 10 or 15 years. This means that if your tub has stayed for only 7 or 8 years, you can repair it to get an extra 5 years out of it. But if you have been using it for up to 15 years, then maybe it’s time to replace it.

Should hot tub jets always be on?

A drop in the water level of the hot tub is always sudden and unexpected. Because your spa pumps not only water but also the sanitizer, it is best practice to always follow the recommendations of the manufacturer. Alternatively, you can leave the pump on for a minimum of 8 hours every day.

How many years does a hot tub last?

Depending on quality, a hot tub is designed to work for about 5 to 20 years, or even more. Less expensive tubs are usually of lesser quality and may not function for more than 5 years. High-quality hot tubs, however, can be used for up to 20 years if properly taken care of.  Most Pump Cycles are 20-30 min with a purge or filter cycle every 3-6hrs.

Can you refurbish a hot tub?

You can revamp your hot tub and return it to your favorite relaxing spot once again. If your tub is discolored or stained due to chemicals and high temperatures, which are usually used to maintain it, refurbishing is always a less expensive option relative to replacement.

Once acrylic is stained it stays that way. Wood siding can be easily replaced.
